Lisa Weinshenker is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) as well as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has been serving the Nevada and California communities for 15 years as an RN, IBCLC, and FNP. She specializes in both newborn and maternal health. Her lactation practice in the hospital and private practice focuses on helping those in challenging situations, finding the right solution for each family, and creating a community of professional support for all new families.

 

Lisa completed her Master’s in Nursing at Purdue Global University and her IBCLC at UC San Diego Extension program. Prior to becoming a nurse, Lisa was a professional oboist, performing locally and nationally as a member of the Air Force band. Lisa also holds a BA from Bates College, a BSN from Nevada State College, and a M.Mus in Oboe Performance from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

Lisa Weinshenker is originally from Massachusetts and has been a resident of the Las Vegas area since 2000 with intermittent breaks for both travel and work. Both of her children were born here at Centennial Hills Hospital. She hopes to continue to help build a thriving community of support for women, children, and families in the Las Vegas area.
